Preparing for Vows with the Papal Theologian

The second week of August, before our simple profession (August 15, 2012), Fr. Wojciech Giertych OP, a Polish Dominican who serves in the Prefecture of the Pontifical Household as theologian to our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI, will be leading a silent retreat for our Dominican novices at a monastery in Indiana.

Fr. Giertych, who lives in the Vatican next to our Holy Father, also teaches at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum).

Fr. Giertych taught one of our current novices and one of the incoming postulants in Rome before they entered and we are very blessed to have him help our novices prepare for their profession.

Please keep them all in your prayers!  Let me know if you would like to come for the Simple Profession Mass.

Pray also for the men who now are postulants and will be entering
our novitiate on August 8 when they are clothed in the habit of our founder.
